The Equity Accountability Model Limited English Proficiency component focuses on the performance of English Language Learners. This component focuses on the scores obtained from the WIDA ACCESS test, more specifically the Literacy Composite Scale Score and Proficiency Level. In this component of the Equity Accountability Model, we concentrate on literacy growth, using a formula that calculates an expected growth value. The reporting category for students (i.e., 1.0 – 3.9 and 4.0 or higher) is based on students’ overall ACCESS composite proficiency level. Literacy Growth is based on Literacy Composite Scale Scores across two years. The goal is for 90% of students to meet or exceed their literacy growth expectation each year.
