These dashboards include the MCPS student achievement monitoring system known as the Evidence of Learning developed during the latter part of the 2016-17 school year that includes multiple measures (i.e., classroom, district, and external) to determine whether our students are learning and learning enough. A student shows Evidence of Learning attainment by demonstrating success on at least two of the measurement types -classroom, district, and external. Evidence of Learning attainment is presented in several dashboards for both Literacy and Mathematics for students in grades 2, 5, 8, and 11. In September, MCPS will also report the Evidence of Learning attainment in Literacy and Mathematics for students completing grades 2, 5, 8, and 11 during the 2017-2018 school year. Also in September, Evidence of Learning attainment will be provided at the district level to show the performance for students in grades 3, 6, 9, and 12 during the 2017-18 school year who were in grades 2, 5, 8,and 11 during the 2016-2017 school year – providing a cohort view of performance.
