This dashboard includes data on the participation and performance of MCPS graduates by student group as it relates to the SAT in the last three years. Participation rates for MCPS graduates are included in this dashboard. The SAT is a standardized test used for college admissions developed by The College Board. There are two sections of the SAT that are scored: 1) Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) and 2) Math. Student scores range from 200 to 800 on both sections. There is also a total composite score that combines the scaled scores from each section and ranges from 400 to 1600. A score of 480 on the ERW section and 530 on the Math section is considered the benchmark for college and career readiness according to the College Board. The percent of MCPS graduates meeting the ERW and Math benchmarks for college and career readiness are provided on this dashboard. Additionally, the mean SAT section scores on ERW, and Math and SAT total score are reported.
