Dear Glen Haven Elementary School Community:

This letter is to inform you that on Monday, April 26 and Tuesday, April 27, staff members from MCPS’ central office will be at Glen Haven to support instruction and school operations. We have a number of staff members and school leaders, who, out of an abundance of caution, will need to get tested for COVID-19 due to recent exposure to an individual that tested positive. We anticipate that these staff members will be able to return to the building on Thursday, April 29. Student instruction and support will continue as scheduled. 

As a reminder, here are the steps that we can all take to keep ourselves, families and school community safe:

• Wear a mask, or appropriate face covering, at all times when in school and other public spaces.

• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before and after eating. 

• Cover your cough and/or sneeze and immediately wash your hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.

• Practice physical distancing and keep 6 feet away from others when possible.

• Stay home if you are sick.

MCPS will provide additional guidance on quarantine and isolation requirements for the students and staff in the coming days.
