The Board of Education met this evening [Tuesday, September 23] and approved the following administrative appointments:

* Gwendolyn J. Mason, currently acting director, Division of Programs and Services, as director, Division of School-Based Special Education Services.

* Judith L. Pattik, currently instructional facilitator, Howard County Public Schools, as administrative assistant to the associate superintendent, Office of Student and Community Services.

* Vickie Strange-Moscoso, currently acting assistant to the director of special education, as director, Division of Pre-school Special Education, Special Schools, and Related Services.
