Media Advisory: Multiple Agency Apprenticeship Program Seeking Local Business Partners
National Apprenticeship Week is fast approaching, and Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is partnering with Montgomery College, Worksource Montgomery, and the Maryland Department of Labor to host two events aimed at students and the business community.
On Monday, November 13, there will be an information session specifically for employers who are interested in learning how to hire students. This session will provide valuable insights into the benefits of hiring apprentices and the process involved.
Then, on Wednesday, November 15, students in grades 11 and 12 can attend an apprenticeship job fair. This fair will provide an excellent opportunity for students to explore the vocational apprenticeship opportunities available during school and beyond.
Representatives from various employers will be present to provide information and answer any questions.
