MCPS TV Schedule for May Features Program on Volunteering among ESOL Parents

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) cable television features both instructional videos (Channel 33) and programs about MCPS of community interest, including highlights of student, staff, and community accomplishments (Channel 34).

Of particular interest this month on Channel 34 is the new episode of Our Schools Today, which takes a look at parent involvement and volunteering among parents of students in the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program. The Our Schools Today series, which regularly airs topics of interest to parents and community members, is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Korean and Vietnamese.

Programming on Channel 34 runs from 8 a.m. through midnight seven days a week. The channel carries programs produced by MCPS, including Board of Education meetings and programs in multiple languages such as Take Ten and Diez Minutos. Cable Channel 33 carries instructional programming on a variety of topics for all grade levels 16 hours a day. Highlights are on the MCPS web site at the link below.
