School Journalism Conference at Walt Whitman High School

The Black & White, Walt Whitman High School’s student newspaper, will host a high school journalism conference on Saturday, February 2, to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

The conference will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the school and will feature speakers, workshops, and a final round-table discussion led by a panel of professional and high school journalists.

Speakers include: Clarence Page, columnist for the Chicago Tribune, Steve Handelsman, national correspondent for NBC News, Brigid Schulte, education reporter for The Washington Post, and Rick Berke, a former Black & White editor who is now a reporter for The New York Times.
