MEDIA ADVISORY: Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New MacDonald Knolls Early Childhood Center Set for Nov. 1

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will hold a grand opening ceremony for the new MacDonald Knolls Early Childhood Center on Thursday, November 1. MCPS provides full-day prekindergarten services for nearly 100 3-and-4-years-olds at MacDonald Knolls. This is the first prekindergarten/early childhood center in Montgomery County that combines general and special education programming in one location. Located on the same site with MacDonald Knolls, The Arc Montgomery County Karasik and Family, Infant & Child Care Center is a technical partnership with MCPS and makes high-quality prekindergarten programming accessible to income-eligible families.

WHO: Superintendent Jack Smith will be joined by members of the Montgomery County Board of Education, Montgomery County Council president Hans Riemer and other county officials.
