Montgomery County Board of Education Hosts Legislative Summit September 30

The Montgomery County Board of Education (Board) will host a Legislative Summit to share priorities and ongoing interests with the Montgomery County Delegation on Monday, September 30. Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Taylor, Ed.D., M.B.A. will join the Board at the event that will take place at Richard Montgomery High School.

The Board’s legislative priorities focus on providing access and opportunity to every student, recognizing diverse paths to success, and the inherent right of every student to learn in safe schools. In addition, the Board will share areas of ongoing interest important to the district’s ability to provide every student with the highest quality public education.

The Board will formally adopt its legislative platform at the September 26 business meeting. The Legislative Summit on September 30 is the first step in a months-long collaborative effort with county and state elected officials to support public education in Montgomery County and the State of Maryland.
