Fiscal Year 2020 → Question 1
ANSWER:
Montogmery County Public Schools (MCPS) students can ride all Ride On and many Metrobus routes within Montgomery County for free on weekdays between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Currently students can access the free ride with a student identification. At a yet to be determined date, they will need a Youth Cruiser Smart Trip Card to access the free ride. The Youth Cruiser Smart Trip Card is available for a one-time cost of $2 and is available at numerous locations throughout the county, including some MCPS schools.
Having a Youth Cruiser Smart Trip Card allows MCPS students to use Ride On at significant savings outside of the Kids Ride Free hours of 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. weekdays. During the school year, students can purchase an unlimited ride monthly pass for $11. For summer riding, a three-month unlimited ride pass is $18. These unlimited ride passes are loaded electronically onto the Youth Cruise Smart Trip Card.
