EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works collaboratively with other offices, to develop a comprehensive systemwide professional development plan aimed at school improvement and improving staff and student learning.Develops a comprehensive systemwide training calendar.Coordinates support to schools and offices for the consistent delivery of a professional development plan aligned with system priorities. Oversees implementation of leadership development programs for system leadership, school administrators, and schools leadership teams.Provides leadership to ensure that all adults in MCPS participate in professional learning communities in order to improve practice. Organizes systemwide leadership professional development, training, and meetings related to the superintendents goals and initiatives.Meets contractual commitments to school leadership team institutes.Continuously researches and identifies new programs, best practices and activities in both the public and private sector that could be implemented to foster continuous improvement in MCPS. Understands and applies principles of performance evaluation and professional growth standards for employees. Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
