Manages department activities in the absence of the director.Assists the director in managing functions of the department, including representing the department at Board of Education, County Council, and other meetings as required.Assists in preparation of detailed, periodic project analyses and summaries for the Board of Education, superintendent of schools, deputy superintendent, and members of the executive staff. Assists in the development of project cost and staffing estimates for the Capital Improvements Program (CIP).Regularly interacts with department staff at all levels.Supervises an assigned set of managers.Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
