EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises all staff and the products produced by EGPS. Reviews work load with leadership team and offices throughout the district. 2. Ensures the district's commitment to equity and excellence for staff and students, particularly as it relates to hiring for equity and excellence.3. Demonstrates through leadership and role modeling high expectations, positive relationships, and cultural competence, as well as a strong commitment to professional development for all staff.4. Prepares the annual budget. Responsible for maintaining and supervising all budgeting and spending for all accounts. This includes both MCPS operating and entrepreneurial accounts. Reviews program operation for cost effectiveness and adjusts as necessary.5. Analyzes costs and production data to make adjustments to structures within the division, with the goal of operational excellence. 6. Serve as the representative at various MCPS and County Government meetings. 7. Develops policies, procedures, and operational guidelines for the EGPS division.8. Keeps abreast of new ideas in fine and commercial art, duplication, and publishing services and new technology offerings, through membership and participation in professional organizations. Reviews recent literature and research studies and reports. Evaluates findings and suggests changes or modifications to improve existing programs. 9. Monitors key process measures and adjusts work as necessary. Prepares progress reports and other types of reports that demonstrate the successful work of the unit. 10. Develops and utilizes an aligned strategic plan using key measures to determine progress and opportunities for improvement.11. Performs other related work as required.
