EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Not all duties assigned are included, nor are all duties listed performed in every office.)Works in conjunction with various school system departments to implement requirements of Title I including school choice, supplemental educational services, and programs supporting homeless and neglected and delinquent students. Assists with the development of budgets and state reports including the Local ESSA Consolidated Strategic Plan. Manages the development and implementation of the extended day and extended year programs for elementary schools. Collaborates with other MCPS offices and departments to facilitate the development and implementation of programs. Provides input for new programs and assists with development of related policies. Serves on various committees and acts as a liaison to MCPS offices as needed. Collects data and prepares responses for requests for information; interprets the Title I program to staff, BOE, and the community. Maintains current knowledge regarding ongoing requirements of related federal and state legislation. Reviews, research, studies, and reports. Collaborates with staff form central office, principals and staff form the Office of Shared Accountability to monitor the effectiveness of new and reviewed programs. Makes presentations to interested parents and community groups. Completes required reports and participates in local, state and federal evaluations. Assists with the supervision of instructional specialists. Performs related work as required.
