EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership to ESOL parent outreach and counseling staff to support the priority schools program. Provides school-based supervision of ESOL parent outreach and counseling services under the priority schools program. Works with principals and central office staff to provide extended school day and extended school year opportunities for ESOL and immigrant students. Organizes and provides meaningful consultation meetings for non-public schools. Evaluates the effectiveness of non-public school programs funded under Title III.Works with the achievement specialist to coordinate data collection requirements for non-public schools.Plans and leads staff development activities for the ESOL parent outreach and counseling teams. Supervises the collection and analysis of data related to the priority schools program and makes recommendations for needed adjustments to assignments or services to meet the needs of ESOL students. Reviews the performance of ESOL parent outreach and counseling staff. Supports the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Programs to plan and implement initiatives that support Our Call to Action: The Pursuit of Excellence strategic plan initiatives for ESOL/Bilingual Programs.Performs related work as required.
