EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, share, and use school and student data to develop and implement school improvement plans.Implement systematic procedures to assess program effectiveness consistent with system policies, regulations, and procedures, state and federal laws.Identify staff training needs and develop professional development plans.Develop teaching assignments/schedules, student schedules, and operational structure.Prepare a variety of written reports and correspondence.Coordinate the development and implementation of a program discipline plan, consistent with the system policies, regulations, and procedures. Assume responsibility of specific areas of administration and management assigned by the supervisor of Alternative Programs.Deal promptly and positively with behavioral problems.Participate in intake and exit meetings and suspension/appeal hearings.Develop requests for staffing and other resources.Serve on MCPS task forces and committees, as assigned.Observe and evaluate staff.Work with students/parents and staff to ensure appropriate programming for all students, Establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with other community agencies to ensure ongoing, two-way communication and to initiate activities that foster productive parent and community involvement.Assists the supervisor in organizing community partnershipsOther duties as assigned.Performs related work as required.
