EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to inquiries and requests for information from Board members, principals, staff, and community regarding operational procedures, policies, or issues.Responds to correspondence on behalf of Board members, the superintendent of schools, the deputy superintendent of school support and improvement, and the associate superintendent of professional development and school support. Tracks and reviews correspondence assigned to the units within the Office of Professional Development and School Support. Researches, writes, edits, and reviews correspondence and prepares reports for the associate superintendent of professional development and school support, deputy superintendent of school support and improvement, and executive staff. Responds to employee and community telephone inquiries. Participates in the development and monitoring of the budget from initiation through adoption, providing information that supports budget requests, changes, and adjustments.Remains informed concerning Board of Education actions pertinent to the operation of the office.Facilitates meetings.Attends meetings and serves on committees as designated by the associate superintendent of professional development and school support.Problem solves and resolves complaints, informing and advising the associate superintendent of professional development and school support of imminent problems and issues.Collaborates with other offices.Assists with the development and maintenance of policies and regulations for which the associate superintendent of professional development and school support is responsible.Assists unit/department directors in resolving problems that affect operations.Develops and implements special projects, such as university partnerships and in-house programs.Performs related work as required.
