Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. Ensures that primary and subsidiary financial systems operations and maintenance activities are managed to ensure data intregity is reliable, defensible, and timely. Financial system output must remain current and available for MCPS financial analysis, business decision-making, budget execution and formulation, and financial reporting. Provides/develops/produces necessary financial/budget reports and responds to data requests for OOF, central office programs, schools executives, and community partners. Provides guidance, resources, and a continuum of support including support and training of financial staff, MCPS administrators, and school staff regarding business operations, financial data analysis, and internal controls. Leads OOF on information technology system implementation activities. Manages the OOF budget and various financial management system approvals. Develops and integrates long-range plans and monitoring systems for initiatives and responsibilities supervised by the OOF. Provides facilitative leadership for system-wide projects, committees, and workgroups. Serves as liaison between all MCPS financial staff with respect to system-wide business and financial activities. Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
