EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors referrals and coordinates delivery of language dominance and bilingual assessment services. Monitors workload and timelines, and reassigns language dominance and assessments when necessary. Verifies accurate, timely, and comprehensive data submitted by staff members and entered in the BAT database.Prepares annual, quarterly, and monthly system-level summary reports.Conducts bilingual psychological assessments, bilingual speech-language assessments, and/or language dominance and bilingual educational assessments depending on their specific certification.Leads team meetings.Designs and delivers professional learning for schools and offices regarding language development of ELLs, language dominance determination, bilingual assessment, testing ELLs with interpreters, and cultural proficiency.Screens and interviews candidates for temporary part-time positions.Conducts pre- and post-observation meetings with instructional assessment specialists, psychologists, and speech pathologists; conducts formal and informal observations; and completes written post-observation conference reports. Evaluates performance of psychologists, instructional assessment specialists, and supporting services employees, and develops and implements improvement plans for underperforming employees. Coordinates the preparation, review, and approval of employees¿ Professional Development Plans.Provides professional supervision and support for instructional assessment specialists, psychologists, and speech pathologists, Responds to requests regarding BAT services, budgets, grants, and data. Represents MCPS management and division on committees and workgroups. Performs related duties as assigned.
