EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or ability associated with this classification, but is intended to accurately reflect the principle job elements.)1) Implements and monitors procedures for the Autism Waiver as set forth in COMAR 10.09.50, 10.09.52 and 10.09.56.2) Implements and monitors procedures for the provision of services to approved Autism Waiver eligible students by MCPS employees, and outside service providers/agencies.3) Develops agreements with other agencies and service providers for the provision of Autism Waiver services to MCPS students.4) Maintains accurate, accessible records to meet all state and federal monitoring requirements.5) Coordinates and provides support to service coordinators, parents, students, and others, as needed.6) Monitors billing and payment procedures for service providers and agencies.7) Meets regularly with service coordinators to facilitate discussion regarding the Autism Waiver and global problem-solving of issues related to the Waiver.8) Serves as a backup and consultant for all service coordination.9) Participates and supervises all Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings serving as the MCPS representative and/or the service coordinator when appropriate.10) Conducts long-term planning as it relates to the Autism Waiver.11) Serves as the MCPS liaison to MSDE and DHMH regarding the Autism Waiver.12) Participates in, and when appropriate, conducts training regarding the Autism Waiver.13) Communicates with parents, community organizations, agencies, and MCPS personnel to ensure ongoing two-way communication.14) Coordinates the work of all MCPS staff members involved in the Autism Waiver.15) Maintains and collects data according to the requirements set forth in the Autism Waiver.16) Prepares required reports for MSDE, DHMH, Medicaid, Board of Education, and others. Prepares correspondence and individuals¿ applications related to the Autism Waiver.17) Plans and coordinates activities involving parents, community, service providers, and agencies that relate to the Autism Waiver.18) Provides crisis intervention support and consultation regarding Waiver services on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.19) Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
