EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates innovative partnership activities with Montgomery College and other post-secondary institutions that improve student readiness for college level studies following high school graduation and that foster a seamless transition of students from MCPS to MC and other institutions of higher learning.Establishes and nurtures collaboration with MC, UMS, MSDE, community organizations, government agencies, and businesses to develop, conduct, and monitor implementation of student support programs that promote increased student achievement and preparation for post secondary study.Plans and leads implementation and evaluation of partnership activities that promote parent involvement and support for students' academic success and transition to post secondary studies.Organizes and leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of courses, workshops, and creative staff development programs to improve teaching and learning.Uses knowledge of the High School Improvement the SAT's, and the Accu-placer to implement a testing program that informs students, parents, and staff about students' readiness for college level studies following high school graduation and that guides the improvement of the secondary instructional program.Collects data and prepares responses to requests for information about MC/MCPS partnership programs and projects; interprets partnership activities to the BOE, parents, and community.Prepares reports, correspondence, and annual budget requests; manages expenditures and accounts for partnership activities; recommends allocation of funds according to needs and best utilization; maintains files, records, and/or expenditure controls.Collaborates with other MCPS' offices and departments to prepare grant proposals for the improvement of the secondary instructional program.Under direction performs other related duties as assigned.
