EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates performance of psychologists, instructional assessment specialists, and supporting services employees. Coordinates the preparation, review, and approval of psychologists¿ Professional Development Plans (PDP). Conducts pre- and post-observation meetings with psychologists; conducts formal and informal observations of psychologists; and completes written post-observation conference reports.Provides professional supervision and support for psychologists, and develops and implements improvement plans for underperforming employees.Leads administrative meetings.Designs and delivers professional development/training.Coordinates assignments of temporary and permanent psychologists to schools.Coordinates screening and interviewing of school psychology interns; communicates with institutes of higher education, and oversees intern supervision by MCPS psychologists.Helps screen and interview candidates for psychologist, instructional specialist, and secretarial positions. Assists in monitoring and administering the delivery of psychological services.Verifies accurate, timely, and comprehensive data submitted by staff members and entered in the psychological assessment database, and prepares biannual system-level summary reports.Responds to requests regarding psychological programs, budgets, grants, and data.Helps to implement the strategic plans for the Office of Student and Family Support and Engagement and the Division of Psychological Services.Represents MCPS management and division on committees and workgroups such as the Psychological Assessment Committee, and the Joint Psychological Services Collaboration Committee.Represents MCPS during meetings sponsored by Montgomery County, MSDE, county agencies, and other community providers.Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
