EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Certification and Staffing:Analyzes hiring, retirement, and retention trend data to identify future hiring needs in order to create a recruitment strategy focused on acquiring top talent and a diverse teacher workforce. Develops, implements, monitors and assesses the implementation of the Teacher Workforce Strategic Initiative.Develops processes and structures to ensure alignment with the attraction, recruitment, onboarding, and retention of diverse employees, including but not limited to employees of various races; ethnicities; genders; sexual orientations; geographic, education, socio-economic backgrounds; and/or employees with multiple language abilities.Utilizes virtual mediums as part of a recruitment plan.Recruits teacher level positions.Plans, organizes, and attends external recruitment trips.Coordinates, cultivates, and manages the MCPS Ambassador Program.Establishes initial contact with teacher candidates at recruitment events and conducts pre-screening interviews. Regularly communicates with student interns and employees in MCPS partnership programs to ensure they are moving toward acquiring positions that align with their degrees. Establishes relationships with local, state, and regional organizations with minority representation and at institutions that enroll large numbers of minority students.Establishes relationships and partnerships with Schools of Education, Career Centers, and alumni associations. Establishes partnerships and relationships with local business to support staff who are relocating to teach in MCPS. Develops supporting materials to communicate the employment brand. Collaborates with multiple office in MCPS, advocacy groups, local businesses, and outside organizations. Performs other related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
