WORKING TITLE: Supervisor, Professional Development Online Systems GRADE: O MONTHS: 12
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF CLASSIFICATION: Responsible for the management of the development and implementation of the Professional Development Online (PDS) management system, which will include maintaining, tracking, monitoring, and reporting professional development information for teachers and administrators.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of professional growth systems and professional development.Thorough knowledge of Web-based systems and user interfaces. Strong project management and technical skills. Knowledge of MCPS organization, operation and management practices, along with knowledge of the policies and regulations of MCPS. Excellent organizational ability and process management skills. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree from an accredited college or university with course work in educational management, information technology, or closely related subject areas. Five years of professional and administrative experience. Experience in an administrative or project management role. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform day-to-day functional tasks associated with maintaining the content of the Professional Development Online system.

2. Coordinate with all offices and school-based staff to ensure identified content is available.

3. Interface with technical staff to ensure proper functioning of system.

4. Provide a means to collect, summarize, monitor, and report professional development data for teachers and administrators

5. Integrate the tracking, managing, and reporting of professional development experiences

6. Performs related work as required.
