Collaborates with other school systems to learn about developing school bus/ transportation technologies and trends. Ensures effective support for the day-to-day operation and periodic upgrades for key operational systems serving transportation units and offices.Provides guidance, mentorship, and supervision to staff.Participates in the budget process to inform fiscal decisions related to department and office expenditures. Aligns project priorities with the vision of the department.Collects, analyzes data and makes recommendations to effectively manage or improve program and/or support to transportation users.Stays abreast of current technologies and trends in the information technology industry.Sits on labor management committee. Understands and applies principles of performance evaluation and professional growth standards for employees. Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
