EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works as part of a team to develop and maintain enterprise architectures for enterprise systems. Manage Enterprise Systems IT teams and ensures projects including upgrades, replacements and maintenance adhere to standards and meet delivery criteria.Assists project team members in all phases of the application development life cycle. Ensures that projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, or identify and resolve systems issues.Reviews and evaluates existing system effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improving and leveraging these systems more efficiently.Provides oversight to ensure that timelines are communicated and met and stakeholders receive complete and accurate documents and materials.Provides guidance, resources, and a continuum of support for team members ranging from business operational and technology requirements to involvement in the team.Conducts sessions with users and stakeholders to identify requirements, gather feedback, and provide communication on progress.Engages users in change management processes leading to customer acceptance and satisfaction with solutions.Leads functional and technical teams on the development of business solutions.Resolves conflicts arising with teams, product direction, decision making, etc.Meets with users and/or vendors to address or resolve requirements, design, integration, and implementation issues. Leads team analysts in the design of applications. Makes recommendations involving changes to logical or physical database structures to improve efficiency or correct problems. Leads teams who develop requirements, evaluation, and implementation planning. Leads the teams who develop interfaces to allow commercial off-the-shelf applications to operate efficiently and accurately with MCPS systems. Serves as the product manager and development manager in determination of system characteristics and function points. Works with other development managers to estimate level of effort for development of solutions.Participates in on-going, self-initiated learning to maintain currency in the field of information technology and shares knowledge both formally and informally with others as appropriate.Understands and applies the six leadership standards that have been established for the Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals (MCAAP/MCBOA), and the Supporting Services (SEIU) Professional Growth System (SSPGS).Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
