EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates all activities and assignments for the Project Management section.Plans and coordinates activities and schedules for new construction and renovation projects to insure they are completed in accordance with plans and specifications and conform to standards and codes, including MCPS technical specifications.Coordinates with architectural and engineering consultants to develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents for new and renovated school construction projects.Implements quality control measures to assure mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, and/or architectural building requirements are incorporated within contract documents.Initiates and coordinates bidding process for assigned construction projects; and analyzes bids for recommendation of contract award.Assures documentation is maintained for construction projects, including construction schedules and records, documentation of ¿as built¿ conditions, and warranties by contractors and subcontractors. Coordinates project activities/approvals with MCPS staff and governmental agencies as required.Oversees investigations/feasibility studies of existing buildings, including components of architectural, mechanical, or electrical systems. Supervises and oversees assigned Project Managers and/or MCPS staff.Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of this position.
