EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs and conducts research/evaluation studies requested by the Board of Education and/or Executive Staff.Conducts in-depth and diversified research studies to provide answers to complex and challenging problems affecting the school system.Works collaboratively with team members to solve educational problems of importance to the Board of Education and/or Executive Staff.Conducts ad hoc data analyses in response to requests from the Board of Education and/or Executive Staff.Manages multiple research or evaluation efforts simultaneously in collaboration with staff from various MCPS offices by discussing the design, implementation, or results of studies.Accurately codes variables from original information or data and completes statistical analyses as required.Analyzes data using descriptive and advanced statistical methods, interprets the results, and provides written summaries of data analyses.Assures the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis.Effectively communicates results of research and data analysis to Executive Staff and/or Board of Education. Understands and applies the six performance standards established for the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Teacher Professional Growth System (TPGS).Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
