EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists Psychological Services in implementing the strategic plans for the Office of Special Education and Student Services, the Department of Student Services, and Psychological Services. Facilitates communications with psychologists and other MCPS offices, departments, and units, school staff, professional associations, and community agencies and organizations. Conducts pre- and post-observation meetings with psychologists; conducts formal and informal observations of psychologists; prepares written observation reports. Coordinates the preparation, review, and progress monitoring of psychologists¿ Professional Development Plans (PDP). Coordinates assignments of psychologists to schools including coverage for staff on short-term leave. Coordinates intern interviews, hiring, and supervision. Reviews psychological assessment reports and peer reviews.Helps monitor accuracy of psychological assessments database and central storage of psychological reports.Assists in monitoring the delivery of psychological services and the analysis of program evaluation data. Responds to requests regarding Student Services/Psychological Services programs, budgets, grants, and data. Plans and coordinates Department of Student Services and Psychological Services meetings. Represents Psychological Services at meetings such as Maryland State Department of Education and Joint Psychological Services Collaboration Committee. Performs related work and other duties as required.
