EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the development, implementation, and monitoring of higher education partnerships and Professional Development Schools.Plays an integral role in the development and deployment of the Supporting Services to Teacher Pathway Initiative. Facilitates the assignments of undergraduate and graduate student interns.Collaborates with multiple offices to initiate new programs, facilitate the growth of programs, recruit students, and structure recruitment opportunities for positions that relate to program of study.Serves on advisory panels for MCPS higher education partnerships and Professional Development Schools.Networks with appropriate MCPS personnel to determine training and hiring needs.Serves as the MCPS liaison to MSDE for PDS locations.Works with MCPS staff and higher education representatives to develop model programs.Collects, analyzes and utilizes data needed to determine the effectiveness of higher education partnerships.Collaborates with local government agencies, institutions of higher education and offices within MCPS to promote and develop programs for administrators, teachers and support staff in MCPS. Develops processes and procedures for the successful implementation of the partnerships. Serves as the liaison for MCPS to local higher education institutions and the Maryland State Department of Education. Assists in the preparation of brochures, flyers, and website information for notification to MCPS staff and the local community.Coordinates, schedules, and plans partnership interest meetings.Responds to correspondence and questions regarding higher education partnership programs and PDS locations.Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
