EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in implementing Board of Education actions pertinent to the operation of alternative programs. Assists alternative programs in implementing the system¿s strategic plan. Facilitates communication among alternative programs and other MCPS units, associations, school staffs and community agencies and organizations. Responds to inquiries regarding alternative programs, budgets, staffing, grants, and data. Assists in the preparation of the annual operating budget request and with financial monitoring of accounts.Assists in the analysis of data and the creation of reports. Participates in preparing correspondence and documents. Works closely with supervisor to develop and implement services and procedures for alternative programs.Plans and coordinates in-services for alternative program staff.Acts as a resource to alternative program staff for referral and interagency information. Attends meetings and serves on committees/workgroups as designated by supervisor. Represents alternative programs at meetings with county agencies, MSDE and community organizations.Coordinates with site coordinators and other staff to ensure effective program delivery. Supports site coordinators, teachers, paraeducators, and students.Assists with collaborative problem-solving process at all levels.Assists with the development of improvement plans for alternative programs and for individual program sites.Monitors the work of office staff. Performs related work and other duties as required.
