EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares written proposals, component plans, and training plans which are required by the Department of Health and Human Services; and prepares written annual progress reports, etc., as required by the superintendent and/or members of the Board of Education. Maintains coordination and provides supervision of central office staff members of the education component (i.e., speech pathologists, psychologists, education specialists, and the coordinator of volunteers) by conferring with them and observing them in their interactions with teaching staff and children. Coordinates the conduct evaluation process for central office education staff. Maintains coordination and provides supervision of teachers and classroom aides by observing them in classroom settings, offering technical assistance and conferring with staff to discuss suggestions/recommendations regarding teaching techniques and other matters relative to their performance. Assists principals with evaluations of Head Start teachers. Educational Services Specialist
