EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs and articulates a multi-tiered, across level, district-wide plan to address the attainment of graduation requirements utilizing the current state standards.Coordinates with school leaders to create and implement Project G.R.A.D. actions to assist focus students. Assists with increasing the efficacy and fidelity of Project G.R.A.D. in schools where growth with graduation rates is essential in order to meet the standard as determined by MSDE. Assists schools with developing materials and programming to assist with the attainment of the four criteria for graduation readiness: enrollment, academic achievement, assessments, and student service learning. Operates, supervises, and monitors the development of student centered programming and in schools supports to service vulnerable populations including but not limited to students who are: cultural minorities, effected by poverty, LGBTQI, suffering from trauma, and any other lifestyle insecurities that impede the achievement of graduation requirements. Compiles data to illustrate the impact of Project G.R.A.D. on student performance and other metrics aligned with graduation requirements.Continues comprehensive school improvement efforts in identified schools by providing training and individualized follow-up support(s) required. Provides feedback related to strategy instruction. Meets with grade-level teachers and/or departments regarding student achievement and teaching strategies. Assists principal and school staff to analyze pertinent data, root cause, and next steps for increasing graduation rates.Works closely with individual and small groups of teachers on the specific action items to plan, implement, and evaluate student achievement as it related to the Project G.R.A.D. plan. Collaborates with the Office of School Support and Improvement, the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Programs, ESOL specialists, and other central office supports to provide schools in improvement with the resources and specific needs related to student achievement. Assists local school personnel in utilizing formal and informal data to identify target students, plan intervention focus, and assist with the implementation. Understands and applies principles of performance evaluation and professional growth standards for employees. Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
