EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates and works with the Department of Human Capital Management staff to coordinate staffing of the Division of Maintenance and Operations positions.Coordinates and facilitates interviews, hands-on skills tests, drug and alcohol tests, and written skills tests for selected candidates.Reviews and processes employment applications and interviews applicants. Reviews and evaluates applicants¿ qualifications in accordance with MCPS policies and applicable federal, state, or local law. Collaborates with DMO¿s staffing data support specialist to maintain all DMO staffing and hiring data.Checks driving record and state-wide alcohol and drug testing databases. Attends job fairs to recruit personnel. Coordinates job fairs for the division. Works with timekeepers to resolve payroll issues stemming from inaccurate database information. Reviews staffing reports in order to properly assign employees to service center teams based on a need. Supports staff development specialists in scheduling and coordinating training for maintenance and operations staff.Oversees the Higher Level Assignment (HLA) process. Assists with marketing and recruitment activities.Performs related work as required.
