EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives visitors and telephone inquiries; resolves issues for the public; and screens calls for appropriate staff.Composes memoranda, reports, correspondence, and replies to correspondence and maintains confidentiality as required Reviews and prioritizes mail, and directs correspondence to appropriate staff as needed, and maintains correspondence logs.Maintains files and records of office correspondence. Assists in fulfilling requests for information from the public, including Maryland Public Information Act requests.Oversees the development and publication of the MCPS Comprehensive Calendar, in collaboration with other offices and departments. Creates and maintain various databases including Excel.Performs administrative tasks without supervision.Reviews and edits outgoing correspondences, memos and materials for format clarity and content accuracy.Provides scheduling and administrative support to the Director of Public Information and Web Services.Arranges for phone conferences and meetings including scheduling logistics, schedules space and time, and notifies participants.Manages special projects and ensures tasks are completed in a timely manner.Manages and processes payroll.Orders office supplies through the Financial Management System.Performs related work and other tasks, as required.
