| Summary Description:
Under supervision, coordinates and manages materials related to state and local assessments following the test security protocols. Responsible for managing the receipt and distribution of local and state assessments, coordinating the materials management of all assessments (ordering, receipt, distribution, shredding, shipping), and investigating and ensuring that all assessments and special materials are delivered to schools. Also responsible for coordinating logistics for training sessions, collaborating with other offices to develop and publish informational documents essential to state assessment administrations. Administrative responsibilities include management of contact databases, communication directly with schools, other offices, and organizations and logging communications.

Must be able to manage many tasks with tight deadlines. Excellent planning, organizational, management, human relations, oral written communication skills required. Advanced computer skills related to the use of word processing, spreadsheets and database software. Ability to communicate the assessment process effectively with groups and individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Ability to acquire and assemble test materials and direct individuals and groups in testing situations Exercises considerable initiative to resolve problems and to anticipate and respond to needs of the office. Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn and meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS). |

Education Training Experience:High School or GED diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Three or more years of experience in logistics and/or materials management is requisite for this position. Familiarity with instruments used in assessment. Experience developing/updating spreadsheets and databases. Experience working with state and federally mandated assessment programs. Considerable knowledge of MCPS and state of Maryland assessments. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered. Not all duties assigned are included, nor are all duties listed performed in every office.)• Maintain and control secure testing materials and confidential records to ensure data integrity and security.• Coordinate logistics for all test security and administration trainings, including course listings, site establishment, material preparation, and participant communication.• Support the maintenance of parent guides for state assessments and ensure the availability of translated materials in all required languages.• Develop and manage databases designed to track the receipt, distribution, and inventory of testing materials.• Direct the delivery of secure and non-secure assessment materials to schools and oversee the timely return of materials to the central office.• Manage and update the School Test Coordinator contact list to ensure accurate communication channels.• Collaborate with department stakeholders to publish the annual testing calendar and other essential assessment documents.• Respond to inquiries from School Test Coordinators, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), and other internal offices via telephone and email.• Update and monitor the Assessment Collaboration Site to ensure all resources and documents are current.• Verify the accuracy of test records and scores, performing necessary edits and retrievals to maintain data quality.• Perform related duties as required to support the overall mission of the assessment office. |
