WORKING TITLE: Testing Materials Coordinator, Office of Shared Accountability GRADE: 16 MONTHS: 12
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF CLASSIFICATION: Under supervision, coordinates and manages materials related to testing. Responsible for managing the receipt and distribution of assessments, coordinating the materials management of all assessments (ordering, receipt, distribution, shredding, shipping), and investigating and ensuring that all assessments and special materials are delivered to schools. Also responsible for coordinating logistics for training sessions, collaborating with other offices to develop and publish MCPS testing documents, maintaining the testing unit website, and administering and collecting survey data from stakeholders. Administrative responsibilities for the testing unit include management of contact databases, communication directly with other offices and organizations, logging communications, and editing memoranda, briefs and publications produced by the testing unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must be able to manage many tasks with tight deadlines. Excellent planning, organizational, management, human relations, oral & written communication skills required. Knowledge of website design and editing. Exercises considerable initiative to resolve problems and to anticipate and respond to needs of the office. Knowledge of and the ability to meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: High School or GED diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Completion of some college coursework in business administration desirable. Training in personal computing sufficient to perform complex word processing tasks. Experience developing/updating spreadsheets and databases. Experience working with state and federally mandated assessment programs. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Special requirements such as lifting heavy objects and frequent climbing.) Lifting up to 25 lbs.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains and controls secure materials and confidential records.

2. Coordinates the logistics of all test security and administration trainings (list courses on PDO, establish training site, prepare materials for training, communicating with participants as needed, coordinating payment with accounting).

3. Creates and maintains databases designed to track receipt and distribution of testing material.

4. Edits memoranda, briefs and publications produced by the testing unit.

5. Collaborates with other offices to publish the MCPS testing calendar and other testing documents.

6. Receives and responds to telephone calls and emails from vendors, school test coordinators, the Maryland State Department of Education and other MCPS offices.

7. Contacts vendors for quotes as needed.

8. Performs related work as required.
