EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development & Maintenance: Designs, develops, and implements new features and functionality for the MCPS website and other digital platforms using Episerver/Optimizely and .NET. Maintains and optimizes existing code for performance, scalability, and security. Collaborates with other developers, designers, and content managers to deliver high-quality digital experiences. Creates and manages custom content types, templates, and workflows within the CMS. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to website performance, bugs, or user interface problems.2. Vendor & Relationship Management: Serves as the primary point of contact between MCPS and Optimizely, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Manages the service relationship with Optimizely, overseeing updates, system performance, and technical support. Coordinates with Optimizely's support team for upgrades, feature requests, and any platform-related inquiries. Monitors service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that Optimizely meets MCPS standards for uptime and performance.3. Technical Project Management: Leads and oversees digital development projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with MCPS goals and timelines. Provides technical leadership and mentorship to other members of the web development team. Assists with project scoping, including estimates of time, costs, and resources. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify requirements, solutions, and process improvements.4. Testing & Quality Assurance: Develops and implements comprehensive testing strategies for Episerver/Optimizely projects to ensure functionality across multiple devices and browsers. Perform unit testing and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.5. Documentation & Training: Creates and maintains technical documentation for custom applications and processes. Provides training to staff on how to use the CMS effectively, including content management, editing, and publishing workflows.
