Assesses need for, plans, creates, coordinates and evaluates communication strategies and channels to improve communications, with particular emphasis on strengthening engagement with the Hispanic community. 2. Serves as the primary webmaster for the MCPS Spanish website. Updates Spanish website pages with new content on a regular basis. Writes and edits web content using web publishing software such as Tron.3. Hosts weekly news update in Spanish; writes and edits scripts.4. Maintains MCPS Twitter feed in Spanish.5. Creates news packages in Spanish and English for MCPS TV and the MCPS website, including news gathering, script writing, and interviewing. 6. Assists MCPS offices in communications efforts aimed at engaging Hispanic parents and community. 7. Initiates, plans, and coordinates events for Hispanic media representatives.8. Establishes relationships with and works with Hispanic media outlets to ensure timely coverage in print and electronic media. 9. Works closely with Electronic Graphics and Publishing Services (EGPS) and assists in the overall design and production of publications with EGPS graphic designer, publication and production manager.10. Maintains and expands knowledge of new developments in social media. 11. Develops and maintains project plans and calendars. 12. Performs related work as required.
