EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides leadership in the implementation and assessment of the Choice process and coordinates the appeals process, including the intake and collection of data, counsels, advises and communicates the process to stakeholders in accordance with MCPS policies and procedures. 2. Directs and coordinates student enrollment and registration activities for the NEC, DCC, and MSMC, immersion and application programs.3. Serves as a consultant to the administrators on matters such as enrollment, appeals and articulation/instructional programming. 4. Collects, investigates and responds to parent questions and student assignment appeals. 5. Compiles student record reports on student enrollment and coordinates preparation of data reports. 6. Verifies student records, interprets registration policies for assisting parents and students with decision-making based on the strengths and interests of the enrolling students. 7. Supports all aspects of immersion; responsible for and including the intake of interest forms, enrollments, working with overseas families, and collection of acceptance forms.8. Serves as liaison to parents, students, staff and community in the NEC, DCC, and MSMC, immersion and application programs, procedures, policies, timelines, scheduling orientations, etc.; responsible for coordinating with schools¿ base area enrollments, communication with school staff of new enrollee and Choices, as well as acceptances into programs.9. Works collaboratively with staff in the NEC, DCC, and MSMC, immersion and application programs to facilitate communication regarding program offerings, program marketing, enrollment processes and student records. 10. Organizes and coordinates resolutions to cases unique to those in the following but not limited to group homes, ESOL & METS, alternative education, international students, and foreign exchange students.11. Supervises DCCAPS client care staff and other assigned personnel and facilitates their participation in growth and development activities. 12. Performs related work as required.
