EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Loads trucks with food and other supplies or materials for delivery to schools and offices. 2. Independently makes route changes based on the consideration and analysis of various factors, including type of cargo; delivery delays and challenges at specific locations; truck temperature and type of food being carried to ensure food safety for students/staff; traffic and overall efficiency maximization. 3. Properly applies best practices and procedures for safe handling and proper delivery of food.4. Unloads goods at delivery point and is responsible for having warehouse form signed by authorized school or office employee acknowledging receipt of the shipment. 5. Picks up kitchen related equipment, supplies, mail and other materials from one school or office and delivers to specified locations. 6. Checks food products and other cargo, against delivery documents.7. Pulls orders requested on warehousing shipping lists by selecting identified items and verifying selection for accuracy. 8. Cleans vehicles, warehouse areas, parking lot and adjacent roadways as appropriate.9. Keeps warehouse items, equipment, property, and work-related supplies in neat and orderly condition. 10. Operates warehouse handling equipment in the movement of stock. 11.Maintains accurate records of food/cargo, deliveries, and work-related activities as required. 12. Completes required vehicle checks and notifies appropriate supervisor of any issues. Supports and assists in DFNS related events. 13. Performs related work as assigned.
