The linking study examined the predictive and concurrent relationship between Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and Maryland comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) using Grade 3–8 reading and mathematics assessment data in the 2021–2022 school year. Demonstrated predictive and concurrent relationships can be used to inform how well students are on track to be college and career ready measured by MCAP and to provide guidance for instructional planning.
