Results for the 2007 Spring Reading Benchmark Assessments

Description:

The goal of the MCPS Assessment Program Primary Reading (MCPS AP-PR) is to provide information about students reading development including reading accuracy, oral reading fluency, and comprehension throughout the school year, as well as to monitor attainment of the established grade level benchmarks. The percentage of kindergarten and Grade 1 students (overall and for each subgroup) meeting or exceeding benchmarks increased every year from 2002 2003 to 2006 2007, and the percentage of Grade 2 students (overall and for each subgroup) meeting or exceeding benchmarks increased from 2005 2006 to 2006 2007.
