Evaluation of the Implementation of High School Plus: Findings From the Spring 2008 Surveys

Description:

This brief presents findings from the 2008 survey administered to students and teachers at high schools implementing the extended day component of High School Plus (HS+) during the 2007-2008 school year.

Recommendations:

Some of the recommendations included reevaluating the current attendance policy, providing teachers and students with strategies to ensure positive student engagement, reviewing the time that the program is offered so transportation from school is not a concern for attendees, and determining a way to provide snacks for students.
