Description:

This report describes SAT participation and performance for the Class of 2010 for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and graduates in Maryland and the nation. It further investigates the trend of SAT participation in relation to ACT participation for the Classes of 2006-2010. Lastly, it reports the SAT performance by the national average score (1500) and by college readiness measure (1650).

Recommendations:

Since the SAT participation and performance varies by high schools and race/ethnicity, MCPS district leaders and school staff should provide appropriate intervention to prepare students for the college entrance exams.
