State Superintendent of Schools Nancy S. Grasmick and officials from the Hewlett Packard company will honor four high school students for their award-winning posters in a statewide "Stop the Violence" art contest sponsored by Hewlett Packard and the Maryland State Department of Education.
The awards will be presented before an audience of 9th and 10th grade students at Albert Einstein High School on Wednesday, November 17, at 10:00 a.m.
The first-place winner, Katie Hillesland, is from Rockville High School and attends the Visual Art Center at Albert Einstein High School in the afternoons. The third place winner, Iris Flores, attends Montgomery Blair High School.
