All Montgomery County parents/guardians of Grade 5 students are invited to attend three evening open houses to learn about middle school options available in the Middle School Magnet Consortium (MSMC). Each of the three MSMC schools--Argyle Middle School, A. Mario Loiederman Middle School and Parkland Middle School--will host an information meeting and an open house. The information meeting at each school will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by the open house at 7:30 p.m. Presentations will be available in English and Spanish.

The information meeting will provide important facts to parents about the student Choice Process, the MSMC programs available, and student bus transportation. The information meetings at all three schools will be identical, while the open houses will be unique to each school. Families are encouraged to attend an information meeting and all three open houses.

Grade 5 students who live within the MSMC boundaries and currently attend Brookhaven, (Connecticut Park in 2006), Georgian Forest, Harmony Hills, Strathmore, Viers Mill, Weller Road, or Wheaton Woods elementary school will attend one of the three MSMC schools next year. Parents/guardians of these Grade 5 students must select a MSMC school for their child through the Choice Process and are urged to attend an information meeting and all three MSMC open houses.

· Parkland Magnet School for Aerospace Technology -- Monday, December 5


Identical information meetings will be held at all three schools beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Open houses will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Presentations will be available in English and Spanish.
