Volunteers to Staff 'Parent Warmline' are Needed to Respond to Parents' Questions on Raising Children
Volunteers work from their homes, four hours a week, responding to calls left on the Warmline's answering machine. They provide practical advice, written materials or referrals when appropriate.
Individuals interested in volunteering should know child development and effective parenting skills, have experience working with families, and have parenting experience. A 30-hour training session will begin on Tuesday, February 8.
The Warmline is a collaboration between the Child Care Connection and Montgomery County Public Schools, with funding from the U.S. Department of Education Goals 2000.
