A new online MCPS Professional Library Catalog will be inaugurated by Superintendent Jerry D. Weast at a ceremony on Wednesday, August 1, at 4:00 p.m.at the school system’s Professional Library.

The computerized system will allow staff to view the holdings of the Professional Library from anywhere there is access to the Internet. As a result, books may be reserved by staff online and may be sent directly to school and office locations each day.

More than 130 public and research libraries in Maryland’s interlibrary loan network also will have increased access to the MCPS Professional Library collections through the new online system.
