The Board of Education today [Tuesday, July 9] approved the following administrative appointments:

* Dr. Gregory E. Thornton, currently an assistant superintendent in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System in North Carolina, as community superintendent, Office of School Performance, for the Montgomery Blair, Albert Einstein, and John F. Kennedy clusters.

* Dr. Gail C. McBride, currently the director of Curriculum, Testing and Assessment, Career and Technology Education with the Sedona Oak Creek School District in Arizona, as director, Secondary Leadership Development, Office of Staff Development.

* Anthony L. Boyd, currently a pupil personnel worker with the Prince George's County Public Schools, as supervisor, Pupil Personnel Services, Department of Student Services.

* Ginger M. Corpuz, currently an instructional specialist, Academic Support, Federal and State Programs, Office of Instruction and Program Development, as administrative assistant, Office of Human Resources.
